Posting this slightly late but better late than never right?! This is a favourite topic of mine because whilst everyone else outside of this handbag-obsessed world thinks I’m crazy, I actually take the ‘investment’ side of my bags pretty seriously. This isn’t to confuse handbags with being actual investments of course (I’m not *that* delusional :)) but I generally try to really take the time to consider each bag purchase carefully including the longevity of the style, cost per wear, initial outlay (i.e. price), wear and tear and also whether it holds its value (although the latter is less relevant if you plan to keep it).
I’m not always right but by doing this, I think I dramatically reduce the number of duds I buy. So with this in mind, I’m sharing what I consider to be the best value for money bags out there. Most of these might be obvious and are what many consider to be ‘investment’ bags whilst others are perhaps more unusual.
I tried to cover a variety of price points as I know not everyone can or wants to buy a £3.5k bag – and I also included a few styles which I don’t own but which I consider to be great buys anyway. So, without further ado, here’s my list, along with prices (in case you don’t actually want to watch the video!):
1. Longchamp Le Pliage, £68.00
2. Tory Burch Perry Tote, £345.00
3. Marc by Marc Jacobs Hillier Hobo, £375.00
4. Louis Vuitton Speedy Monogram 25, £535.00
5. Gucci Soho Disco, £650.00
6. Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM, £755.00
7. Balenciaga City Bag, £1035.00
8. Chanel Mini, £1620
9. Chanel Boy Bag, £2690
10. Chanel Classic Jumbo, £3450
As a side note, today is my last day at work before I break for Christmas – hurray! So what I hear you say? Well this means a LOT more time for filming and blog posting; I’m hoping to get some proper standalone blog posts going again now that I have some more free time.
As always thank you for watching and reading and just generally stopping by! It may be the festive season getting me all mushy, but I really do appreciate it 🙂
