LV Neverfull, Saint Laurent & Tory Burch Review

This has been so highly requested that I thought I would bump it up my filming schedule! I did a work tote comparison last year and since then I’ve bought three all new ones so I thought I would do a little update. I’m a huge fan of tote bags as they are so care-free and perfect for work to sling all of my essentials in.

I receive my Tory Burch Perry tote for Christmas last year and it has fast become one of my favourite bags, period! It’s such a great example of a bag that is gorgeous and practical but doesn’t have to cost the earth. The Louis Vuitton Neverfull I bought in April and has been on constant repeat over the past few months and I most recently received the Saint Laurent tote for my birthday. I’ve only used it for a few weeks but having been loving how minimalist it is.

Tory Burch Perry Tote

Mine is in the colour Cloud Blue and whilst this is a seasonal colour, no longer available, Tory Burch always seem to come out with gorgeous new combinations.

Whilst I’m not a fan of the big Tory Burch logos, I think this is beautiful and subtle.

The lining is full leather and is wonderfully carefree. You can literally wipe it clean and be good to go.

The only wear to mention is the tarnishing on the logo plate. This isn’t ideal and I was actually surprised to see it but to be honest, I find this pretty minor.

Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM

Next up is the Louis Vuitton Neverfull! I feel like this doesn’t even need an introduction – the Neverfull is well and truly iconic now and is my personal preference over other classics like the speedy. It took me a while to warm up to MM size but I now love it. It’s perfect for summer when wearing less bulky clothing and the colour combination of Damier Azur with Rose Ballerine lining is perfect 🙂

One of my favourite elements is the pouch. This has totally made my mini pochette redundant and I frequently find myself reaching for it.

The outside is incredibly durable and after many years of use, my GM still looks fantastic on the exterior. The interior of the rose ballerine lining does mark extremely easily though and is the biggest downfall to this beautiful bag. I love it enough to look past this though and as mentioned in the video, a little vanish spray and some anti-bacterial wipes do seem to do the trick!

Saint Laurent Shopper Tote

I think this must be one of my most frequently asked about bags, I had no idea that it was so popular! I’ve only seen this once in real life on another person (in black) and it looked gorgeous. I love how minimal this is and I think it is the perfect work tote, wonderfully understated and eternally chic.

The pouch is an added bonus but because of the size isn’t quite as useful as the LV pouch. Unlike the Neverfull, this pouch is in lieu of a pocket – annoying but not the end of the world for me personally although I understand how this could be a deal breaker for some people.

I love the little details on this tote though – they really are lovely.

As mentioned in the video, the one big downfall of this bag (like the Neverfull) is how delicate the lining is. It seems to scratch extremely easily – the above image shows about 8 days worth of use. I haven’t babied it but at the same time, I don’t think I am particularly rough with my bags.

I like the bag enough to look past this but it’s certainly worth bearing in mind if you are fussy about the details.
