Key Fall Pieces with Nordstrom

As much as I love summer, I’m always so excited for sweater weather! I’ve been stocking up my wardrobe with some key pieces for Fall/ Autumn and there are so many trends that I’m excited about. Top of the list? Ruffle & bell sleeves and texture – this time in the form of this super cute ruffle bell sleeve sweater and these suede pointed pumps. The months before it gets really cold are the perfect time to indulge in the bell-sleeve trend, before coats are necessary and make more voluminous sleeves a little tricky to contend with!

DETAILS

Bell Sleeve Sweater
Skinny Jeans
Black Suede Pumps
Gucci Marmont Bag (larger size)

I’ve included some other favourite sleeve detail sweaters below! I also wanted to mention these jeans which I have not taken off since buying them. They are the perfect fit, super comfy and so flattering! As soon as I tried them on, it was love. Even better, they are higher waisted so perfect for sweaters that are cut a little shorter.

Please share the new-season trends that you’re loving that I should check out down below! I’m in full new-season prep mode at the moment 🙂

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post!

Hi Amie! I wanted to ask you a quick question about Stuart Weitzman boots. I just ordered my first pair (!!!) in the dark grey suede. I live in Boston, so lot’s of wet winter weather, and I wanted to ask whether any of your SW boots have had any issues with the suede spray you mentioned in your video a few weeks ago? I am scared to death that I’ll do a patch test and they’ll be discolored or something! I don’t know if you have the grey color, but I thought the chestnut suede may respond/show up similarly? Thank you so much!

Hi Sarah! I’m afraid I haven’t actually sprayed my chestnut boots (not intentionally – i just haven’t gotten around to doing it!) so I can’t comment on this colour or the grey. However, I would say the best thing to do (and what I did when I was nervous) was to take a cheaper pair of shoes or boots and try it out. If you don’t have any, you might even be able to get a suede fabric sample? I can understand your hesitation about the patch test!

That’s a great idea; I’ll look for a fabric sample to test 🙂

Love that your outfit is casual yet filled with small statements like the ruffled sleeves and the suede pointed pumps! I can’t wait for fall weather to come, and we in LA can wear sweaters too, haha.

You look great, Amie – I especially love your skinny jeans. I’d love to hear your thoughts on different brands of designer denim (via blog post or YouTube video) and how they compare to each other – fit, material, stretchiness, wash, etc.

Amie! First let me say I love your style so much! I’m also Asian and you remind me of how I used to be before kids and suburbia and all I can say is enjoy it! I’m trying to get my groove back and your blog and videos are so helpful!

I also am obsessed with your nude Gucci marmount! But I can’t find it anywhere!! I’m also debating if I should save up for a black caviar ghw Chanel 2.55 or get these two Gucci’s black and nude. What are your thoughts? I’m trying to be more feminine and classic in my style.
