Friday Favourites

I haven’t done a Friday Favourites in so long and while my
whole schedule is still in a bit of a state of disarray, I thought there is no
better time to start getting things back on track than the present! I am in
full crazy-lady Christmas mode and I’m pretty sure I’m driving Dan nuts with
all my talk of Christmas gifts, decorations and food. This is our first year of
hosting Christmas together and even though it’s just going to be us and our
mums, I’m trying my hardest to make it extra special. I’ve included some of my
festive favourites below – let me know if you’ve got a great recipe or
decoration trick that I need to try, I’d love to hear about it!

Favourite sale:
Tory Burch! The Tory Burch sale has been live in the UK since Black Friday but
they’ve now added some more items and have further reduced others. You can now
grab the gorgeous purple Perry tote for 50% off! I am sorely tempted but I
already bought another two Perry totes (yes, you read that right. Yes, I’m
aware I have a Perry tote problem!) from earlier on in the sales so I’m trying
my hardest to resist! I am also loving the Ivy bag in leopard print (pictured above) which I’m debating. I’ve found my Clare V clutch so useful and I can already picture so many outfits that would look cute with the Ivy!

Favourite festive
activity:
Advent calendars. I have a total of three this year and I’m not
entirely sure how it happened! I bought this one from Fortnum & Mason, the
wonderful and kind Elle Florence sent me a David’s Tea one from Canada and then
Dan bought me a chocolate one as well! Not that I’m complaining – after all, what’s
better than copious amounts of tea and chocolate?!

Favourite wrapping
idea:
I have been on the hunt for the cutest wrapping paper. I was so close
to cleaning up at the Sugar Paper line at Target when I was in the US before my mum reminded me how
wildly impractical it would be to pack all that gift wrap. In the UK, I’m
currently eyeing up Cox and Cox’s line. I have no idea how I ended up on their
mailing list but I got sent their catalog and everything is seriously dreamy.
The gift wrap is pricey but you get a lot for it (the rolls are all 10 metres
long) so at the moment, that is the front runner!

Favourite baking idea:
Sugar cookies. I really really want
to try these. I’ve never attempted sugar cookies before and I know I’m woefully
short on time at the moment so these are probably not a good spend of the time
I do have, but I just keep coming back to them! I think I might stock up on
ingredients in anticipation of any free time I have during the holidays! For any of you who are pro-sugar cookie makers – any tips for me?

Favourite gift to myself: I think the Clinique Chubby Stick Tiny Temptations set was one of my
favourite gift ideas that I featured in my gift guides and I’m not going to
lie, I totally kept this for myself. It’s pretty much the prettiest makeup gift
set I’ve ever owned – if you’re a fan of chubby sticks, I would highly recommend!
You can still get this at Sephora in the US and at Selfridges in the UK (hurry, though – they’re low on stock!).

And that’s it for this week’s favourites! I have two videos
just waiting to be edited so I’m going to try and get one up this week. My
normal YouTube schedule should resume next week J

Friday Favourites

Hello! Welcome back to Friday Favourites! I’m still getting back into the swing of things after my holiday but I hope to have some outfit posts up next week 🙂 In the meantime, I am sharing what I’ve been loving this week – everything from my go-to breakfast to a new sale that has got me excited!

Favourite New Arrival (above): Tory Burch has released new colours in the Perry tote and I’m absolutely in love. My obsession with this bag doesn’t look like it’s ending any time soon – this amazing grape colour has my heart in a flutter! I am bookmarking and stalking for sale time…

Favourite reminder: I’m a big fan of inspirational quotes (something which Dan mocks me for endlessly!) and this is one of my all time favourites in the prettiest typography.

Favourite breakfast munch: Low fat greek yoghurt with chopped up strawberries or raspberries and this insanely good organic granola (I buy mine from Ocado). The yoghurt and fruit keeps this fairly low calorie whilst the granola adds some substance and a bit of crunch. I’ve been having this for the past week and it is SO good!

Favourite Steal: Everything Kate Spade! I’m a huge Kate Spade fan so I always look forward to their sales and this time they have 20% off in the UK and 25% off everything in the US! I’ve been waiting to buy a new travel bag so I quickly snapped up this one and this one so I could decide at home. I also couldn’t resist this beyond cute sweater – perfect for the festive season!

The code for the UK is TREAT20 and the code for the US is EVERYONE.

Favourite hair remedy: I’ve been using the Phyto Repairing Thermal Protectant Spray for about a week now and I’m liking it a lot. My hair desperately needs a cut but in the meantime, this has been going a long way to remedy my slightly frazzled hair. It’s lightweight (very important for us fine-haired gals) and leaves your hair silk-smooth at the ends.

And that’s it for this Friday Favourites! Thanks so much for stopping by 🙂

Friday Favourites

I’ve tried to start this series a few times and have always failed miserably at keeping it up but it is definitely a highlight of my Friday everytime I read Lauren Conrad’s favourites (yes, I know, I’m a little obsessed!) so I wanted to try one more time. It’ll be following the same format as LC’s (because I have no originality haha), sharing my random favourites that I’ve come across during the week. Kicking things off…

1. Favourite treat (above): Marble Macarons with Earl Grey Buttercream & Pink Lemonade Filling

How amazing do these look? I used to be a keen baker but have never tried making macarons – I feel like these might be slightly above my skill level (understatement of the century…) but there is definitely a part of me that wants to give these a go!

2. Favourite deal: This gorgeous Chloe Faye bag which is an absolute steal. Vestiaire Collective is offering 10% off in honour of LFW until the end of today. Including the discount, you can score the Faye brand new for £576.00 (almost half off!). I need to look away…

3. Favourite blog: Imperfect Matter by Cat Meffan

Impossible to read without feeling inspired! Cat covers mostly fitness but it’s fitness as a lifestyle (plus she looks fabulous doing it!).

4. Favourite nail idea: Rose gold nails!

I adore this colour and am determined to track it down! Such a chic and wearable way to wear metallics.

5. Favourite read: Reverse The Signs of Ageing by Nigma Talib

I’ve only just started reading this but am loving it so far. Gives some really interesting insight into how what we eat (and subsequently, how our digestive system works) can influence the way our skin looks and how quickly we age.

And that’s it for this first Friday Favourites! I hope you enjoyed and

thank you so much for stopping by!

Great post (as usual)! I dont own a Perry tote but every time you mention it, I get closer and closer o buying one. LOL. The good thing with sugar cookies is that you can make the dough beforehand or bake it beforehand and then store… so if you only have small blocks of time available, you can totally do different steps on different days. Tessa from handle the heat has a great recipe and some great tips if you are interested — https://www.handletheheat.com/make-easy-snowflake-sugar-cookies/ Happy Holidays!

I saw this recipe on the Food Network years ago and it's my go to dessert. It's lovely when using an oval baking dish.

I thoroughly love your videos. I often hear you talking about your mum but never about your father. What does he think about your channel?
