Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – What I Bought!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here! I look forward to this sale every year and if you keep up with any of my outfits, you’ll know that some of my absolute favourite pieces come from this sale (I’m looking at you, AG jeans!).

This year of course feels a little different and even though lockdown has ended in the UK, we still haven’t been venturing out too much. So this year, I focused on pieces that I knew I’d get a lot of wear out of, hopefully for the rest of 2020 and beyond. For me, that meant lots of cozy sweaters, some new jeans, a lot of loungewear and a few home decor pieces 🙂

FEATURED ABOVE

1. Berry Cardigan // 2. Blue Sweater // 3. Distressed Jeans // 4. Camel Shawl Cardigan // 5. Ankle Boots // 6. Nike Sneakers // 7. Black Tassel Blouse // 8. Tory Burch Necklace // 9. Barefoot Dreams Blanket // 10. Light Blue Jeans // 11. Coated Black Jeans // 12. Printed Camisole // 13. Slip Silk Hairties // 14. Puffer Jacket

I’m probably most excited about the denim; my favourite jeans of all time have come from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and get constant wear so denim is always what I check out first. I went for two classic blue pairs – this light blue pair from AG and then this darker blue pair from Joe’s Jeans. I also went for this great coated black pair – I’ve wanted a pair of leather leggings for so long but can never seem to commit that much money to them. I thought these looked like a great alternative!

I always pick up the majority of my autumn knitwear from this sale and bought this lovely burgundy cardigan, a super pretty light blue crewneck and then splurged a little on this super luxe camel coloured shawl cardigan. Then, for some slightly dressier pieces, I went for this gorgeous black tassel top, a lovely little black printed cami and this oh-so-pretty Tory Burch necklace which I thought would be so lovely over white t-shirts and crewneck sweaters!

Loungewear Picks

1. Grey Sports Bra Top // 2. Blue Joggers // 3. Grey Joggers // 4. Black Cardigan // 5. Black Shorts // 6. Blue Peekaboo Top

I definitely still spend way more time in loungewear than I probably should so this was high on my list of ‘to buy’ items! I picked up this pair of grey joggers that had amazing reviews as well as this pair of UGG joggers – I think I’ve loved pretty much every purchase I’ve ever made from UGG so I’m excited to receive these! I also picked up a replacement Barefoot Dreams cardigan – I bought this exact one last year (and LOVED it!) and then proceeded to lose it the very next week. I was so upset! I’m definitely going to be more careful with this one.

Finally, I also picked up a comfy pair of shorts for around the house and these two workout tops. This grey sports bra top has the cutest criss-cross background and I love the peekaboo effect of this pretty blue top.

Cozy Sweater Picks

1. Black off the shoulder sweater // 2. Blush slouchy sweater // 3. Off white cashmere crewneck // 4. Slouchy taupe sweater

Sweaters are always a great one to buy from the NSale because it’s more directed at autumn merchandise. I picked up a few off the shoulder styles, including this highly rated black one (which was a steal!), this gorgeous blush oversized piece and then this slouchy taupe one which I loved on the model – especially with lighter denim! The off-white sweater is one that I already own and have spoken about so many times before – they’re 100% cashmere and are the perfect layering pieces for the colder months. I own them in 5 colours so far and would highly recommend – especially for cashmere at this price!

Dressier Pieces

1. Floral print dress // 2. Draped jacket // 3. Polka dot blouse // 4. Lace sleeve top // 5. Suede pumps

Finally, I bought a few key dressier pieces. Like most people, I haven’t been getting dressed up very much over the past few months so I went for pieces that are casual enough to wear now or otherwise classic enough that I’ll be able to still wear and enjoy them once things get a bit more back to normal. I loved this breezy floral dress and thought it would be perfect for enjoying the sun in our new garden (can you tell I’m excited about having some outdoor space?!).

A draped jacket is always such a great buy and the glowing reviews on this one totally sold me. I played it safe and went for the black to get maximum versatility 🙂 I went for two blouses; a gorgeous lace sleeve top and then this pretty polka dot number which I thought would be lovely with jeans now but also work with pencil skirts when the time comes again! And then I also got these great suede pumps which I am SO excited for. I know I always get a ton of use out of this kind of style so I’m just hoping that they’re comfy!

Phew! And that is it for what I bought from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I’ll do a haul over on YouTube as soon as I get my order but I know things sell out super quick during this sale so thought I would get this up for any of you who don’t want to wait 🙂

I’ll also be covering my beauty and home picks from the #NSale in a separate post so keep an eye out for that over the next week or so!

Hi just wondered do you pay a lot for postage and import taxes? And what about returns are they expensive? Looking forward to hearing what you think. Thank you
